Book by Peter Stone
Based on the Screenplay "Some Like It Hot" by Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond
Based on a Story by Robert Thoeren
Music by Jule Styne
Lyrics by Bob Merrill

This rousing musical is based on the film "Some Like It Hot," starring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. SUGAR chronicles the zany lives of two musicians, of the prohibition era, who witness a gang slaying. Forced to disguise themselves as women, they join an all- female orchestra, and the games begin! Memorable musical numbers include "Penniless Bums", "The Beauty That Drives Men Mad", "We Could Be Close", "Doin' It for Sugar", "What Do You Give (To a Man Who Has Everything?)", "Beautiful Through and Through" and "November Song". This show is both outrageous and touching.

SUGAR was previously presented by Stage 1 Theatre and sold out nearly every performance. Don't miss it this time!

Book by Douglass Wallop and George Abbott
Music and Lyrics by Jerry Ross and Richard Adler
Based on the novel "The Year The Yankees Lost The Pennant" by Douglass Wallop

Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd trades his soul to the Devil (the charming but devious Mr. Applegate) for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As young baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he
transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he's left behind. With the help of a handy escape clause and a guilt-ridden temptress named Lola, Joe outsmarts Applegate, returns to his former self and shepherds the Senators to the World Series.

A light, fast-paced and devilishly clever musical, DAMN YANKEES is a home-run hit whose all- American subject matter and irreverent sense of humor have brought many a sports fan into the theatre. In addition to its hilarious story, it also contains a catchy score filled with rousing production numbers and popular favorites like "Heart" and "Whatever Lola Wants."

Written by Maxwell Anderson
Based on the novel "The Bad Seed" by William March

BAD SEED is one of Broadway's outstanding hits. "It is solely and honestly meant to entertain…As purely purposeful diversion it ranks with 'Dracula' and sometimes sets your spine to as much tingling…chilling." NY Telegram

The scene is a small Southern town where Colonel and Christine Penmark live with their daughter, Rhoda. Little Rhoda Penmark is the evil queen of the story. On the surface she is sweet, charming, full of old-fashioned graces, loved by her parents, admired by all her elders. But Rhoda's mother has an uneasy feeling about her. When one of Rhoda's schoolmates is mysteriously drowned at a picnic, Mrs. Penmark is alarmed...for the boy who was drowned was the one who had won the penmanship medal that Rhoda felt she deserved.

BAD SEED will be presented in the intimate Black Box venue. Seating in the Black Box is extremely limited; Season Ticket holders are strongly encouraged to reserve early!

Unfortunately we are unable to secure the licensing rights to either Sweeney Todd or Chicago. However, we are very excited to announce we have received the rights for a Mel Brooks movie turned Broadway musical that won multiple Tony Awards. This show starred Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick on Broadway. But……we won’t be able to announce this show until “Springtime” 2009! Keep checking back for more information!

Season Subscriptions are $80 for adults, $48 for ages 17 and under. The to-be-announced Stage 1 Children's Theatre production is not included in the Season Subscription.
