As one of the few community theaters in the Tri-City area, Stage 1 takes pride in producing high-quality, Broadway-scale musicals for the entire community to enjoy. A vital part of this is the availability of wireless microphones that we use to amplify the performers' voices for the enjoyment of the audience.
Thanks to new FCC regulations coming in this year, the wireless microphones we use to bring you professional-quality sound will fall silent--permanently. The FCC wants us all to have faster cellular networks, and they need current wireless frequencies to do it. That'll be great, but that FCC ruling means that theatre companies across America need to replace their wireless microphones, fast. Stage 1 is no different.
You can help raise the needed $65,000 to buy new microphones in time for our summer production, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Any amount helps, and your contribution is tax-deductible.
